Community Outreach
Original artwork by an Ama Ghar student. Ama Ghar is a children’s home located in Nepal. Ama Ghar is located in one of the areas hardest hit by the 2015 earthquakes. Many people in that area have still not recovered from the loss of their homes and livelihoods, including many of the children who lost their families.
Teaching our students Social Consciousness is an integral component of our curriculum. In addition to our monthly class projects, once a year, as a community, we come together to raise awareness and/or goods and funds for several local nonprofit organizations and one global nonprofit. This year, our school is supporting the Marine Mammal Center, Hamilton Families, Muttville, and the children of Ama Ghar. We celebrate these nonprofits by hosting an annual event held in May. We dedicate our annual giving back campaign to our dearest friend and mentor, Kay Nemeth, who was dedicated to the children of our community and the world.
