Save The Bay is the largest regional organization working to protect, restore and celebrate San Francisco Bay since 1961. Save The Bay mobilizes thousands of Bay Area residents to protect and restore the Bay for future generations, both as advocates in their community and volunteers on the shoreline. In this era of climate change and a growing population, we work with scientists and policymakers to protect the Bay as our region's most important natural resource--essential to our environment, economy, and quality of life. www.savesfbay.org

The ocean is in trouble. From the depletion of fish stocks to increasing ocean temperatures, human activity threatens marine ecosystems that are vital to the health of our ocean and all life on earth. As a critical first responder to these threats, The Marine Mammal Center is leading the field in ocean conservation through marine mammal rescue, veterinary science, and education. Marine mammals are ecosystem indicators, and the health of these animals provides insights into human and ocean health threats. Together, we are taking action today to support a network of scientists and stewards to protect our shared ocean environment for future generations. marinemammalcenter.org

Originally from Sanskrit, namaste loosely translates to "homage to the inner light in all living things."  This represents the purpose of Curry Without Worry: feeding hungry people in a dignified manner while encouraging peaceful coexistence. Curry Without Worry was founded in December of 2006, as a 501(c)3 with the sole purpose of serving soul pleasing food to the hungry people of San Francisco. While we desire to feed those people most in need of a meal, it is also our philosophy that hunger is not defined by an empty stomach.  For this reason, Curry Without Worry is open to whomever hungers to join us.  The mix of those who accept a meal brings a sense of equality, and peace to the experience, and allows those who truly are having a hard time in life to realize that there are people who care about bringing all people together.   We serve a free weekly meal in downtown San Francisco, and Kathmandu, Nepal. For a small suggested donation, we sell a similar meal at the Noe Valley Farmers Market every Saturday in San Francisco. http://www.currywithoutworry.org/

Wonder Dog’s current lifesaving mission is a synthesis of 26 years of rescue work. Our founder began in dog rescue in 1990 and started a Boston Terrier rescue in San Francisco. As the organization grew, so also did our ability to help other dogs in need. Today, we rescue all types of small dogs, from 6 weeks to 16 years!  All of our dogs live in foster homes while awaiting adoption. There they are given the love and support they need to transition into their forever homes. We also rescue many dogs who are at the greatest risk, because of medical issues. While some of these dogs continue on to being adopted, many remain with us as foster/hospice, or fospice dogs… beloved dogs who need care and compassion at the end of their lives. Our Pets for Vets program, a collaboration with the SF VA Hospital, and with rescue partners in Puerto Rico, Thailand, and Korea are expanding the scope of our work, and raising awareness globally about compassionate treatment of animals. www.wonderdogrescue.org
